Tamil music directors

The very famous music composers of the Tamil film industry are Ilaiyaraja and A.R.Rehman. Ilaiyaraja is considered to be the king of Tamil music. His fame attracted praise not only from Indians but also from world citizens. He has composed more than 4500 songs. He has not only composed songs, but he has also written and sung them most of the times. He started his career with Tamil films and slowly percolated to other language films. So far, he has done more than 950 films in India. His songs are so unique that a film gets a critical touch for its emotional situations. Though there were many music directors in the present day, none of them could keep up ever with Ilaiyaraja.

He studied in Trinity College of Music in London and got gold medal for his performance. He is well known for the global music integration. His views are beyond boundaries and hence he was able to make a smoothie out of Indian folk lore and western music. He composed symphony of Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and he was the first Asian to do it. The entire London praised him for his work. The famous Tamil song from Thalapathi was voted has the best in all the foreign nations.

A.R.Rehman, the famous music director won the recent Oscar award for his music in “Jai ho” song. His prominent songs are known not only for melody type but also of fusion type. The award list of Rahman would be lengthier to express. He also did his music course in western classical music at the famous Trinity College of music.

Other famous music directors who still have a special place in people’s heart for their talents are Harris Jeyaraj, Karthick Raja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Deva, Vidyasagar, M.S.Vishwanathan and many more. MSV was one of the famous music composers who revolutionized the way in which audio was recorded for Tamil songs. He gave a new make up to the already enriched Tamil music.
