Tamil singers

Tamil film industry has wonderful Tamil singers who proved to be great not only in Tamil films but also in other language films. Their talents have impressed music directors and film directors from other languages. Tamil singers work with dedication to learn other languages and then sing the song with emotion. It is true that understanding the song is very essential for the song to come out effectively. Most of the famous singers have sung in Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi.

Some of the famous old female singers are Lata Mangeshkar, P. Susheela, S. Janaki and L. R. Eswari. They are known for their talents to blend voice to such an extent that it suits the situation intact. The expressions spread in their voice, conveys the emotion exactly as it should. Especially, love songs sung by L. R. Eswari by certain expressions are so special that it is still a challenge for the new comers to train themselves. Some of the famous intermediary singers are Anuradha Sriram, Malgudi Subha, and Asha Bhosle. 

They had lust in their voice and the tone was so shrill rather than melodious. They were suitable for westernized songs or romantic songs. Koel is the bird represented for music. It sings and “koo-koos” on its way with its most sweet voice. One such voice was bestowed on “Chinnakuyil” K. S. Chitra. She was called as Koel by the entire world of musicians and singers. Hr voice could pipe in emotion even into a stone, is the analogy that most of them use to describe her extreme talents. Other recent female singers who have a glorious voice are Nithyasree Mahadevan, Chinmayi, Harini, Mahathi and Shreya Ghoshal. All of them have sung in other south Indian language films and in Hindi.
